Department of Botany

The Department of Botany was established in 2017. Which offers a comprehensive professional training in the field of Botany. The Department blends the traditional subject with modern disciplines, namely Plant Biotechnology, Molecular Biology & Genetics, Plant Physiology, Biochemistry, Bio-informatics and Plant Pathology.

The department is well equipped with laboratory to conduct experiments in Biochemistry, Plant tissue culture, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Plant Physiology and with other fields of Biology. The department has well qualified faculty members.

The department takes efforts by inviting eminent professors for delivering popular talks, conducting seminars and conferences very often and also provides training on mushroom and medicinal plant cultivation. Add on courses, field trips are also undertaken every year to Botanical garden and Horticulture Research Stations to cater the students involving themselves in Entrepreneurial activities.
