Who this policy covers
This policy covers all fees paid to E.S Arts and Science College (Co-Ed), Villupuram (ESASC), whether paid online or at the college office. Fees are paid into the college's own bank account. See also our payment terms.
Cancelling an admission
- Fees are refunded according to the rules of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and, for BCA, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
- The application fee is not refunded if the student does not join.
- Exam fees that the college has already sent to the university are not refunded.
How to ask for a refund
- Write a letter to the Principal asking to cancel the admission and for a refund.
- Attach the fee receipt and the student's ID card.
- The refund is paid to the student by bank transfer.
- The student's original certificates are returned on the same day the admission is cancelled.
If an online payment goes wrong
- Money was taken from your account but the payment failed: it is returned to your account automatically, within your bank's usual number of working days.
- The same fee was paid twice: tell the college. The extra amount is dealt with as the student requests.
- Too much or too little was paid, or it was paid for the wrong student or course: tell the college and it will be corrected.
- A dispute with your bank (chargeback): handled by the college's Accounts Officer.
