About the department
Head of department: S. Suguna
The Department of Tamil has taught Tamil to students of every programme since 2016. Through Tamil literature, students learn about the Tamil way of life, its values, customs, civilisation and culture. Many students come from villages, and the teachers take care to help each of them grow through the language.
The Tamil Mandram (Tamil club) builds students’ confidence and personality, with competitions and prizes through the year.
