About the department
Head of department: S. Dharmarajan
The Department of Commerce has taught B.Com. (General) since the college opened in 2016. It added B.Com. (Computer Applications) and M.Com. in 2019, and B.Com. Corporate Secretaryship in 2023.
Besides classroom teaching, students meet experts from banks, companies and accounting firms, do internships with auditors and companies, and take part in business competitions. The department encourages students to start their own businesses, and helps them prepare for campus interviews and higher studies.
